On April 29, the “46th Session of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Industrial Project Service Platform: High‑Quality Project Exchange and Matchmaking Event, together with a Special Forum on Revitalizing Existing Tourism Assets in Shanghai,” hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Management Committee of the Lingang New Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, was held in Shanghai. Zhao Jianjun, a second‑level inspector with the Department of Industrial Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, along with other leaders, attended the event. The China Amusement Park Association was invited to participate; its deputy secretary-general, Yang Ming, took part in a roundtable discussion, sharing the association’s work and practical initiatives in supporting the revitalization of existing tourism assets.
The China Amusement Rides and Parks Association has long placed great emphasis on revitalizing existing industry assets, actively serving as a bridge and facilitator. Backed by industry research, it consistently publishes reports on tourism investment and equipment procurement indices, spearheads the development of guidelines for project spatial‑layout planning, and guides sound investment and precise site selection at the source, thereby mitigating the risk of new idle capacity. Leveraging industry dialogue, the Association focuses on key issues such as asset revitalization, project modernization, and operational enhancement at platforms like its annual conference, pooling industry expertise and sharing practical methodologies. By facilitating resource matchmaking, and drawing on the China International Exhibition on Amusement Rides and Equipment, it connects creative planning, digital technologies, and cutting-edge equipment, empowering underutilized projects to undergo renewal and upgrading, fostering international trade and exchanges within the sector, and supporting its high‑quality development.
On May 21–22, the China Tourism Association will host the 2026 Water Park “Quality Enhancement and Efficiency Improvement” Symposium at the Tianmu Future Valley Water World in Hangzhou. Industry peers are warmly invited to attend. ! ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓
