On May 21, the 2026 Water Park “Quality Enhancement and Efficiency Improvement” Symposium, hosted by the China Amusement Park Association (CAAPA), was successfully held at the Tianmu Future Valley Water Park in Hangzhou. The conference focused on innovation in water park products and operations, exploring new models for transforming water parks into multifunctional, themed, and smart destinations. It aimed to help water parks break free from entrenched patterns, reinvent their product strategies through innovative thinking, and cultivate new scenarios and business formats, thereby better meeting the public’s aspirations for a higher quality of life.

Yao Jun, former president of the China Amusement Ride and Park Association, stated in his address that, At present, the cultural and tourism industry is deeply integrated into the national strategy of “expanding domestic demand and boosting consumption.” The State Council has issued the “Opinions on Promoting Capacity Expansion and Quality Improvement in the Service Sector,” explicitly calling for “innovating cultural, tourism, and sports service models, revitalizing existing tourism projects, and strengthening refined management,” thereby providing clear policy guidance to shift water parks from scale‑driven expansion toward quality‑oriented growth. With the launch of the 15th Five‑Year Plan period, policies, technological advancements, and market demand are converging to drive profound transformation across the sector. The water park industry has entered a new phase of deep restructuring and upgrading, as consumers increasingly demand richer experiences, higher‑quality settings, and smarter, more intelligent services—reshaping the very foundations of competition in the industry. Reinventing Ultimately, enhancing the quality and efficiency of water parks hinges on ensuring a safe guest experience, optimizing operational efficiency, and refining service standards. We hope this seminar will serve as a pragmatic starting point, fostering clearer insights and more resolute action across the industry in areas such as innovation-driven development, safe operations, and high‑quality service, thereby propelling the sector toward greater intelligence, sustainability, and higher‑quality growth.

At the event, Hangzhou Tianmu Future Valley Water Park was officially unveiled. Zhang Kai, Deputy District Mayor of Lin’an District, Hangzhou, and Han Ying, Party Secretary and Director of the Lin’an District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports, along with other leaders, attended the launch ceremony. The conference also arranged for attendees to tour and inspect Hangzhou Tianmu Future Valley Water Park.
