This report was released by the Resource Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The "China Tourism Scenic Spot Development Report Handbook (2023-2024)" reviews data on the number of A-level tourist attractions in China, the number of tourists received, tourism revenue, ticket prices, tourism investment, and direct employment.


As of the end of 2023: There are a total of 15,721 A-level tourist attractions nationwide, including 318 5A attractions, 4,863 4A attractions, and 8,717 3A attractions; the total number of tourists received was 5.754 billion, with a growth rate of 118.53%; the average number of tourists received was 383,000, with a growth rate of 99.69%; total tourism revenue was 406.866 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 123.74%; average revenue was 27.0829 million yuan, with a growth rate of 104.50%; the average ticket price was 22 yuan, with the average ticket price for 5A attractions being 68 yuan and 39 yuan for 4A attractions; total tourism investment was 308.897 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 20.12%; the average investment per attraction was 20.5616 million yuan, with a growth rate of 9.79%; the number of people directly employed in the scenic spots was 1.6071 million, with an average of 107 people directly employed per scenic spot.
