China has fully entered the flood season, and at the same time ushered in the peak summer travel season. Extreme weather is frequent, and the risks of landslides, debris flows, and floods are increasing. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism reminds tourists to pay close attention to travel safety:
1. Pay attention to meteorological information. During the flood season, before traveling, pay close attention to the weather conditions of your destination and along the way, especially meteorological disaster warning information. Reasonably plan and adjust your itinerary in a timely manner. Do not go to undeveloped and unopen areas and waters that lack safety guarantees, and be careful to prevent falling into the water and drowning.
2. Strengthen self-protection. During summer travel, be prepared for heatstroke, lightning, and rain, and prepare sunshade items and commonly used medicines. Scientifically adjust your rest time, and try to avoid the high-temperature period at noon during outdoor activities. Replenish water in time when sweating profusely, and pay attention to food hygiene.
3. Improve safety awareness. When driving a motor vehicle, fasten your seat belt throughout the journey. When taking sightseeing boats, wear life jackets as required, and do not take sightseeing boats that are not equipped with necessary life-saving equipment. Strictly abide by the venue's fire safety and various safety management regulations. Carefully participate in high-risk projects such as high-altitude, high-speed, and water-based activities according to your own physical condition.
4. Civilized and rational travel. Observe laws, regulations, and public order and good customs. Follow the instructions for visiting and touring the venue. Protect the ecological environment, protect cultural relics and historical sites, and promote a new style of civilized tourism. Choose travel agencies with business qualifications, pay attention to identifying travel guide information, pay attention to service standards and quality, and rationally choose tourism products.
