On June 29, the State Administration for Market Regulation held the opening ceremony of the 2024 National Special Equipment Safety Day themed activity in Beijing.
This "National Special Equipment Safety Day" activity is the first of its kind, aiming to thoroughly implement the important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on market regulation and safety production, widely carry out safety culture publicity for special equipment and other "three products and one special", and continuously enhance the public's awareness of quality and safety.
The State Administration for Market Regulation released on-site the phased achievements in the three-year action plan for tackling safety production problems and the rectification of urban gas safety, as well as innovative measures such as special equipment recall, sandbox supervision, and updates and renovations. It also announced the results of the national special equipment safety publicity knowledge contest, connected via video with activity sites in Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Sichuan, organized representatives of enterprises and units to make safety commitments on implementing the "two regulations" on the main responsibility for special equipment safety, and officially launched the "National Special Equipment Safety Day" activity.
During the activity, market regulation departments at all levels organized special equipment safety emergency drills and themed activities such as going to schools, enterprises, and communities. Special equipment inspection institutions at all levels carried out characteristic activities such as "themed open days" and "young reporters' visits". Local special equipment industry associations held public activities such as "mall exhibitions" and "square consultations".
Members of the State Administration for Market Regulation's safety committee, relevant responsible comrades from some directly affiliated units, and representatives from local market regulation departments, special equipment inspection and testing institutions, industry associations, and special equipment production and use units attended the opening ceremony.
