Three major cultural facilities supporting commercial establishments to open at the end of the year
According to Zheng Hao, since the beginning of this year, the City Green Heart Forest Park and the three major cultural facilities located in the northwest of the park have received over 7 million visitors, becoming a new cultural landmark in Beijing. History and culture enthusiasts can experience the cultural confidence emanating from the artifacts at the Beijing Grand Canal Museum. The currently ongoing exhibition, "Exploring the Ancient Shu Civilization - Sanxingdui and Jinsha," has become an instant hit, making the museum one of the hottest destinations in Beijing during this summer.
Approximately 250,000 square meters of underground shared space can connect the three major cultural facilities. The parking lot is currently in use, providing 1,700 parking spaces. About 140,000 square meters of supporting commercial facilities will open at the end of the year, including restaurants, parent-child interaction areas, shopping, and cinemas, offering a richer experience.
Since its opening, the Universal Theme Park has quickly become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country, receiving over 10 million visitors last year and driving approximately 16 million visitors to the Universal commercial district.
The nation's first art outlet mall to open next year
Zheng Hao revealed that to enrich the supply of cultural and tourism products, Beijing's sub-center is launching a series of key projects in the cultural tourism area.
Among them, the "Wanli" project, with a total development area of approximately 500,000 square meters, is located at the intersection of Line 8 and Line 7 of the Beijing Subway. It is scheduled to open in the second half of next year. It will house Beijing's largest outlet mall, and also the nation's first art outlet mall. The commercial design incorporates a large number of metaverse elements. A 30-meter-high large water screen is installed in one of the atriums, creating a visually stunning and artistically impactful space.

There is a commercial town, including dining, social interaction, entertainment, curatorial exhibitions, and technological experiences, as well as five major experience centers, including the National Geographic Exploration Center and the Little Prince Theme Park. The resort hotel features an infinity pool, offering direct views of the fireworks and light shows at Universal Studios. "Wanli" will be a 24-hour city that never sleeps.
Haichang Ocean Park will introduce penguins and other polar animals
The Dingdian Park project incorporates top international IPs such as Peppa Pig, Barbie, and Thomas the Tank Engine, and will notably construct the nation's first Peppa Pig indoor ice and snow world. The main structure is currently under construction, with plans for opening in the summer of 2026.
The Haichang Ocean Park project will be the first newly built ocean park in Beijing since 2000. It will feature a themed oceanarium and themed hotels, introducing diverse marine and polar animals, including dolphins, beluga whales, sharks, sea lions, walruses, and penguins, providing visitors with a new type of ocean resort lifestyle that combines ecology, entertainment, experience, and vacation.
Recently, the land for the project has been officially sold, and construction will begin this year." Zheng Hao said, "Once the Wanli, Dingdian Park, and Haichang Ocean Park projects are completed, they will bring more exciting and diverse entertainment scenes, and are expected to attract over 9 million more visitors to the cultural tourism area.
