The Mid-Autumn Festival holiday in 2024 is approaching. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism reminds tourists:

I. Reasonably arrange your trip. Pay attention to travel advisories issued by tourism, public security, transportation, meteorological, and foreign affairs departments. Avoid traveling to destinations with poor transportation, climate conditions, or security situations. Reasonably plan your travel route and time, and choose travel agencies with business qualifications. Do not go to undeveloped, unsafe areas.
II. Take safety precautions. When participating in high-risk activities such as high-altitude, high-speed, water, diving, and exploration projects, act according to your physical condition and take protective measures. Check the vehicle condition before self-driving, and avoid fatigue driving and drunk driving. Always wear seat belts when driving a motor vehicle or taking public transportation. When taking sightseeing boats, wear life jackets as required and refuse to board sightseeing boats without the necessary life-saving equipment.
III. Beware of fire hazards. As autumn approaches, meteorological and phenological conditions increase unfavorable factors. During travel, pay special attention to fire safety. Do not bring fire sources up the mountain, do not smoke, barbecue, or use open flames in areas where flammable materials such as lush vegetation and leaf piles are concentrated or where there are fire prevention warnings. Strictly abide by the venue's fire safety and various safety management regulations. When checking into a hotel, understand the emergency evacuation routes and do not smoke while lying on the sofa or bed.
IV. Advocate civilized travel. Learn about and respect the local culture and customs of your destination in advance. During your travels, abide by all laws, regulations, social morality, and public order and good customs. Follow the venue's visit and tour instructions, protect the ecological environment, and cherish cultural relics and historical sites. Consciously practice the "Clean Plate Action," be low-carbon and thrifty, and travel green.
