With the booming development of the tourism industry, tourism projects have gradually become an important engine for attracting tourists and promoting local economic development. Among numerous projects, the key to standing out and becoming the top choice for tourists lies in their ability to offer something refreshing and innovative. However, in China, such projects are not numerous; many projects share similarities, and even more directly copy designs, leading to serious homogenization of domestic tourism projects. Therefore, I believe that tourism planning needs to be "refreshing and innovative" to be considered a "good project," and I believe that refreshing and innovative projects need to have two core elements.

The refreshing and innovative nature of tourism projects lies in their newness, uniqueness, and special features.

1. New: New formats; new project development models; or upgrades.
(1) New formats
Traditional sightseeing tourism can no longer satisfy the needs of modern tourists for diversified and experiential tourism. Therefore, tourism projects need to continuously explore and innovate, introducing new formats such as ecological tourism, cultural tourism, study tours, and health tourism. These new formats not only enrich the types of tourism products but also enhance the level of tourism experience.

(2) New development models
Traditional project development often centers on scenic areas, focusing on resource utilization and development. Modern tourism projects, however, pay more attention to the application of the "tourism +" model, that is, through cross-border integration, combining tourism with culture, agriculture, sports, technology, and other fields to form a new pattern of multi-industry coordinated development. This innovation in new models not only expands the development space of the tourism industry but also brings richer tourism experiences to tourists.

(3) Upgrades
For those old tourism projects that have existed for many years, upgrades are an important way to achieve a refreshing and innovative experience. Through the re-planning, design, and transformation of the project, it is possible to not only improve tourism facilities and enhance the quality of tourism services but also inject new vitality into the project. For example, existing traditional scenic areas can be transformed into characteristic homestays, or abandoned industrial sites can be transformed into creative parks filled with artistic atmosphere. These upgraded projects not only preserve historical memories but also showcase the spirit of the times.

2. Unique: Projects are creative and arouse tourists' curiosity.
Uniqueness is the key to attracting tourists' attention. A project full of creativity and imagination can stimulate tourists' curiosity and desire for exploration, leading to a strong motivation to travel.

(1) Creative themes
In-depth exploration and creative expression around a specific theme, such as a science fiction world, a fairy tale kingdom, or a historical and cultural recreation. Through themed scene design, event planning, and interactive experiences, tourists feel as if they are in a brand-new entertainment world.

(2) Novel tour route design
The design of the tour route should also pursue novelty, avoiding traditional sightseeing tours. Instead, through carefully designed routes and nodes, tourists are guided to explore in depth and discover hidden beauty and surprises.

3. Special: Unique characteristics, visually or experientially, leading to tourist sharing.
(1) Regional characteristics
In-depth excavation and utilization of local cultural resources, natural resources, and folk customs to create tourism products with regional characteristics. For example, mountain resorts developed based on natural landscapes, or ancient towns based on folk culture.

(2) Experiential characteristics
Incorporate unique experiential elements into the process of tourist participation and interaction, allowing tourists to experience the unique charm of the project. For example, through role-playing and interactive games, tourists can participate in the recreation of historical culture; or provide customized tourism services to meet tourists' personalized needs.

(3) Marketing characteristics
Combine modern technology with traditional culture and natural landscapes to create stunning visual effects and interactive experiences. In addition, project operators can collaborate with other industries to break traditional boundaries and create unique tourism products. For example, collaborating with the film and television, animation, and game industries to launch joint activities, limited-edition products, or themed exhibitions to attract numerous tourists to check in.

The refreshing and innovative nature of tourism projects lies in high cultural and artistic standards.

1. Rich culture
(1) Thematic culture
At the beginning of establishing the project theme, it is necessary to delve into its cultural connotations and use storytelling and scene-based methods to bring cultural elements to life. This not only enriches the spiritual core of the project but also provides tourists with opportunities for in-depth experiences.

(2) Integration of local culture
While maintaining the uniqueness of the thematic culture, cleverly integrate local cultural elements to make the project more regionally distinctive. Whether it is architectural style, folk activities, or local cuisine, it can serve as a bridge connecting tourists with local culture, enhancing tourists' sense of belonging and experience.

(3) Unique cultural highlights
For specific types of projects such as hot spring resorts, red tourism, and study tours, it is necessary to further highlight their unique cultural charm. For example, hot spring resort projects can create a series of health and leisure activities around hot spring culture; red tourism projects can use methods such as recreating historical scenes and telling heroic stories to allow tourists to receive the baptism of red culture during their visits.

2. High artistic value: A visual feast
(1) Artistic landscape design
Utilize natural and artificial elements such as plants, sculptures, and water features to carefully create artistic landscape spaces. Every detail is carefully designed to provide tourists with excellent photo opportunities and create an immersive artistic atmosphere.

(2) Pursuit of overall design aesthetics
From project planning and architectural design to interior decoration, aesthetic principles must be followed to pursue the harmonious unity of overall design. Through color matching, material selection, and spatial layout, a visual experience that is both in line with the theme culture and highly artistic is created. Such a design not only makes visitors' eyes shine but also touches their inner pursuit and yearning for beauty.
