Recently, the Apex Park project in the 1201 block of Beijing's sub-center officially entered the construction phase and is expected to open to the public in 2026. As an international IP indoor amusement park complex integrating parent-child entertainment, commercial consumption, and leisure experiences, it will add new vitality to the region's cultural and tourism consumption, making the theme park industry cluster effect of Beijing's sub-center even more prominent.

The Apex Park project has a total construction area of approximately 72,900 square meters, with a ground construction area of 37,500 square meters and an underground construction area of approximately 35,400 square meters. The total investment in the project is 1.8 billion yuan, jointly developed by Tongcheng Construction Group and Pulse Culture. Upon completion, it will become the largest indoor entertainment complex in Asia. The Apex Park project enjoys a superior geographical location, situated between the Wansheng West Station and Wansheng East Station of Beijing Subway Line 7, and adjacent to Universal Studios to the east. Leveraging the strong spillover effect of Universal Studios, it benefits from an unparalleled advantage in passenger flow.
The aggregation of five major IP theme parks—Hasbro, Peppa Pig, Mattel, Haierle, and Wobei—is one of the biggest highlights of the Apex Park project. Peppa Pig, Barbie, Snoopy, Thomas, and Makabaka… these well-known international IP brands will be presented to tourists in a brand-new way. In particular, the introduction of the world's first Peppa Pig indoor ice and snow world will greatly enrich the parent-child entertainment experience. In addition, Apex Park also plans to include a theme hotel, a commercial mall, a business center, and other diverse business formats, with an estimated annual passenger flow exceeding 2 million.

In 2023, the Tongzhou District Government issued the "Three-Year Action Plan for the Development and Construction of the Beijing Sub-center Cultural Tourism Area (2023-2025)". It mentions that the Beijing sub-center will be built into a demonstration area for the integrated development of culture, tourism, and commerce, creating a world-class theme park. The comprehensive functions of the resort area's cultural tourism will be comprehensively enhanced, the influence of the Universal Studios business district will be significantly improved, driving the prosperity of surrounding businesses and consumer activity, forming an international consumer experience area with high ecological charm and strong characteristic linkage. A high-end, international, and clustered northern industrial belt will be basically established, and the cultural tourism area will be built into a world-class tourism resort area with rich cultural heritage, facing the world, vibrant, and charming.
Apex Park is the first industrial project introduced to the northern industrial belt of the Beijing sub-center cultural tourism area. In the future, it will form a mutually beneficial and complementary development model with high-quality cultural, commercial, and tourism projects such as Universal Studios, the Zhangjiawan "Bayli" super commercial and entertainment complex, and Beijing Haichang Ocean Park, providing a more diversified combination of cultural, commercial, and tourism products and further radiating to the all-age customer base in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

With the successive opening of these major projects, tourists will be provided with more diversified and high-quality travel and consumption experiences. The strong human flow aggregation and industrial chain driving effect of theme parks and other cultural, commercial, and tourism projects will inject strong impetus into the integrated development of culture, tourism, and commerce in Beijing's sub-center.
