Recently, the UAE Deputy Prime Minister approved the development plan for the “Therme Dubai” project at a meeting. Dubai is about to welcome another groundbreaking building integrating health, medical, and entertainment facilities. The project will cost 2 billion dirhams to build and is expected to be completed in 2028.
The project integrates health, medical, and entertainment facilities, promoting a lifestyle centered on physical and mental well-being by offering a range of health-focused services. It aims to attract tourists seeking a comprehensive wellness experience and will also serve as a cultural hub, showcasing innovative and immersive art from cities worldwide.
The project's design is centered around nature and water, providing elements that enhance human well-being. It features the world's largest indoor botanical garden, supporting urban biodiversity and sustainable development. This botanical garden will showcase over 200 plant species from around the globe, complemented by clear, warm thermal spring water. Visitors can also enjoy multi-sensory saunas, therapeutic mineral pools, wave pools, water slides, and luxurious spa treatments inspired by ancient bathing traditions such as Roman baths, Turkish hammams, Japanese onsens, and Nordic saunas.
Key highlights of the project include a Michelin-starred restaurant, three 18-meter-high waterfalls, and indoor and terrace pools totaling 4500 square meters, providing a dynamic water environment year-round. Additionally, the project will feature a play area with 15 water slides and experiential art installations, aimed at enriching the visitor experience.
Therme Dubai is divided into three main zones:
Play Zone: Suitable for families, integrating entertainment, fun, and health-related activities for both adults and children.
Relaxation Zone: Designed for adults, offering indoor and outdoor relaxation pools, mineral pools, steam rooms, and natural therapies using mineral-enhanced water.
Recovery Zone: Focused on rejuvenation, providing visitors with a spacious thermal complex equipped with saunas, steam rooms, and innovatively designed mineral therapeutic baths, elevating the guest experience to an unparalleled level of comfort and quality.
The architectural design adheres to sustainable principles, utilizing advanced water treatment, heating, and cooling technologies. The resort will recycle 90% of the water from its thermal pools, and 80% of its fresh air and cooling needs will be met through clean energy.
