On February 9, 2025, Jinhua Economic and Technological Development Zone held a ceremony for the commencement of the first batch of projects in 2025. Among them, the Zhejiang Central Flora and Fauna Protection Science Popularization Demonstration Park project is planned to start construction in June 2025, with a construction period of 2025-2027.
The Zhejiang Central Flora and Fauna Protection Science Popularization Demonstration Park project is located in Jiufeng Mountain Scenic Area, Tangxi Town, Jinhua Development Zone. With a total investment of 640 million yuan, a total land area of 1000 mu, and a total construction area of 56,899 square meters, the construction content includes the Jiufeng Mountain Animal Diversity Conservation Base, the Jiufeng Mountain Plant Diversity Conservation Base, the Flora and Fauna Protection Science Education Base, and supporting facilities.
After the project is put into use, it can effectively maintain the health and stability of the ecosystem, improve the regional environmental quality, protect biodiversity, improve residents' quality of life, and create numerous job opportunities.
Project Extension
On May 18, 2024, the signing ceremony for the cooperation framework agreement of the Jinhua Jiufeng Mountain Biodiversity Conservation Demonstration Zone project was held.
It is understood that the Jinhua Jiufeng Mountain Biodiversity Conservation Demonstration Zone project is planned to be located in the Jiufeng Mountain Scenic Area in Tangxi Town, with a development and construction period of about 2 years. The project is positioned as a biodiversity conservation demonstration zone, with a biodiversity conservation demonstration zone as its core, including the operation and management of botanical gardens, zoos, amusement parks, and crop gardens, the display, breeding, domestication, performance, interaction, science popularization, and research of plants and animals, amusement facilities, performing arts and entertainment, supporting catering, accommodation, sales, cultural and artistic exchanges, research and study, and technological exchanges.
