China Amusement Park and Recreation Association

Proposal on Fighting the Epidemic, Overcoming Difficulties Together, and Building Harmonious Labor Relations in the Tourism Industry

To all member units and tourism enterprises:

The sudden COVID-19 epidemic has brought unprecedented shocks to the global economy, and all industries are facing enormous challenges and difficulties. Large-scale layoffs have occurred in some sectors, causing negative social impacts. As one of the most severely affected sectors, the tourism industry must fully realize that talent stability is the cornerstone of stable enterprise development and an important guarantee for promoting the rapid recovery and prosperous development of the industry.

To further implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discussion on talent work, promote industry enterprises to establish talent awareness, "accelerate the implementation of the national talent strategy, and establish the strategic position of talent-led development," and build harmonious labor relations in the industry, the China Amusement Park and Recreation Association issues the following proposal to all member units and industry colleagues:

1. Strictly implement laws and regulations, and protect the rights and interests of employees

All member units should strictly implement labor security laws and regulations, legally sign labor contracts with employees, and ensure that the legal rights and interests of employees in terms of labor remuneration, rest and vacation, labor protection, and social insurance are fully protected. During the special period of the epidemic, they should also flexibly adjust work arrangements and salary systems through collective bargaining to maintain the stability of the workforce as much as possible.

2. Strengthen humanistic care and pay attention to employee development

All member units should establish a development concept centered on employees. While doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, they should strengthen humanistic care and psychological counseling, and pay attention to the career development and physical and mental health of employees. Through the implementation of vocational training and team-building activities, enrich the employees' Cultural Life, and improve the employees' overall quality and sense of belonging.

3. Fulfill social responsibilities and contribute to the recovery of the industry

While ensuring their own development, all member units should actively fulfill their social responsibilities and contribute to the recovery of the industry and social stability. They can demonstrate the social responsibility of enterprises through participating in social public welfare undertakings and supporting employment and entrepreneurship.

4. Strengthen industry cooperation and jointly meet challenges

In the face of common challenges such as the epidemic, all member units should strengthen industry cooperation and exchanges, and jointly cope with difficulties and improve the overall competitiveness and risk resistance of the industry by sharing experiences and complementing resources.

"A thousand-year-old foundation lies in talent. To do a good job in the organizational work of the new era, we must make good use of talent, the first resource." General Secretary Xi Jinping's discussion has provided a fundamental guideline for the talent work in the tourism industry. Building harmonious and stable labor relations in the industry is related to the lasting revitalization and sustained prosperity of the industry. We call on all member units and industry colleagues to actively respond and work together to contribute to the prosperity and stability of the industry.
