On March 19, the 2026 China Tourism, Leisure & Entertainment Industry Annual Conference, hosted by the China Amusement Park and Attractions Association (CAAPA)— The International Cultural and Tourism Project Matchmaking Conference (Russia Session) was successfully held in Beijing. Yao Jun, advisor to the China Amusement Rides and Parks Association; Denis Tsukanov, Chairman of the Russian Parks Association and member of the Expert Committee on Creating Comfortable Urban Environments under the Russian Ministry of Construction; Andrey Lapshin, Chairman of the Parks Affairs Subcommittee of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and President of the Russian Parks Association; Khamzat Magamadov, the chief administrative officer of the Russian city of Gudermes, delivered remarks on separate occasions.

The convening of this international cultural and tourism project matchmaking event—focused on Russia—is an important initiative through which the association is actively responding to the national Belt and Road Initiative and implementing the 15th Five-Year Plan’s strategic directive to “expand high-standard opening-up.” It also represents a pragmatic step toward further deepening China–Russia cooperation in the cultural and tourism sectors and fostering mutual learning among civilizations.
