However, the "China Mo" project, which has been plagued by misfortune, encountered numerous difficulties during its development. Due to suspected illegal land use, the project was forced to halt in 2013, and this stagnation lasted for several years. During this period, the project land was repeatedly put up for auction, but failed to be successfully sold for various reasons.

As the core business of the project, Asia's first indoor "Nick theme park" is undoubtedly one of the biggest highlights of "China Mo." The park is jointly developed by Jiayuan Group, the US Three Five Group, and Nickelodeon, a brand under ViacomCBS, covering a total area of approximately 35,000 square meters, with 30 sets of entertainment project equipment featuring 15 well-known Nick IPs such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Garfield, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol, and Dora the Explorer. These equipment covers various types, including children's, thrilling, and family types, aiming to meet the leisure and entertainment needs of visitors of different ages.

The entire park adopts a spherical double-layer free-form surface column-free ultra-large-span reticulated shell structure, combined with a giant transparent dome made of imported ETFE and PTFE multilayer membranes, creating a super-large column-free amusement space. This design not only ensures 365 days of indoor constant temperature theme entertainment in the park, but also allows visitors to feel the comfort and ease of being in an outdoor natural environment while enjoying the amusement projects.

In addition to the Nick theme park, the "China Mo" project also plans for rich commercial supporting facilities and a complete transportation network. In terms of commercial supporting facilities, the "China Mo" shopping center, with a new composite form of seamless integration of "park + commerce," integrates six shopping scenes: happy family, children's world, soaring youth, technological life, global food, and international trends, providing visitors with a one-stop dining, shopping, and entertainment experience. At the same time, the project also combines Chongqing's mountain city scenery, food, and cultural characteristics to create a characteristic cultural street, allowing visitors to experience the strong Chongqing cultural atmosphere while shopping.
