Pinggu District launched the "Five Goods and Two Suitabilities" Beautiful Countryside Pilot Project in 2024, making it Beijing's only pilot zone. After the project is completed, Pinggu District will create a one-stop micro-resort complex integrating "parent-child vacation, interactive entertainment, cultural experience, agricultural research and study, exhibition and sales, and industrial incubation," becoming the capital's innovative integrated dream factory for agriculture, culture, tourism, and commerce
Master Plan
The "Five Goods and Two Suitabilities" Beautiful Countryside Pilot Project focuses on good planning, good construction, good environment, good operation, good rural customs, and suitability for living and working, continuously opening up the transformation channel where green waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, and exploring effective paths for building beautiful rural areas. The project plans to implement 21 projects across five major categories in 10 villages covering 11 square kilometers in Daxingzhuang Town. The implementation period is 2 years, involving a total investment of 528 million yuan, of which 200 million yuan is from central funds, 126 million yuan is from coordinated municipal and district special funds, 33.18 million yuan is from local finance, and 170 million yuan is leveraged social investment

China Tourism Association will host the 2025 China Tourism and Leisure Entertainment Industry Annual Conference in Beijing from March 18-20 The annual conference will feature 10+ specialized forums covering topics such as safety, theme parks, urban parks, immersive experiences, cultural commerce and tourism, tourist attractions, parent-child cultural tourism, resource revitalization, cultural tourism planning, new cultural tourism species, and cultural, sports, and tourism (non-powered).
