On March 13th, at the opening ceremony of the "Ten Miles of Canal" project demonstration section and the global launch of iQiyi Paradise, Wang Jinjian, Secretary of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC; Pan Guoqiang, Deputy Secretary of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC and Mayor; Fang Xuanzhi, Party Secretary and Chairman of Yangzhou Urban Control Group; and Gong Yu, Founder and CEO of iQiyi, jointly launched the project, announcing the official launch of the iQiyi Paradise project from Yangzhou.

As iQiyi's first offline theme park project, iQiyi Paradise will take "technology empowering IP, immersive experience" as its core, featuring a fully immersive experience integrating Chinese film and television IPs with cutting-edge digital technology, creating an immersive entertainment experience space centered on film and television themed IP experiences. According to the plan, iQiyi Paradise will consist of seven sections: a fully immersive theater, a holographic light and shadow space, an immersive performing arts theater, film and television scene interaction, NPC interactive experience, Party Time MR games, and themed activities. At the same time, it will also include supporting businesses such as themed catering and IP derivatives, which will help attract young customers and international tourists, and promote the coordinated development of local cultural tourism and consumption. iQiyi Paradise is expected to open this year.

In his speech, Gong Yu stated that iQiyi Paradise is the most important part of iQiyi's offline experience business development. It will use the integration of cutting-edge digital technology and film and television IPs to bring tourists an immersive entertainment experience of "walking into the dream world of film and television." Yangzhou's profound historical background, booming cultural tourism industry, and open and innovative urban atmosphere are highly consistent with iQiyi Paradise's concept of "retelling Chinese stories with technology." iQiyi Paradise will use cutting-edge technology to build a new offline cultural landmark for the Yangzhou Grand Canal area.

iQiyi Paradise is located on the banks of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, within the "Ten Miles of Canal" project demonstration section. This project is a key measure for Yangzhou to implement the construction of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt and urban organic renewal, striving to become a comprehensive new urban landmark integrating cultural tourism, leisure and entertainment, and commercial consumption. At the launch ceremony, Fang Xuanzhi, representing the implementing unit of the "Ten Miles of Canal" project, stated that the launch of the iQiyi Paradise project is a key step in comprehensively activating the new vitality of the Grand Canal area. The iQiyi Paradise project will also be customized based on Yangzhou's historical and cultural heritage, providing a new cultural feast for citizens and tourists.

Gong Yu also pointed out that the iQiyi Paradise project is not just a cultural tourism project, but also a bridge connecting the past and the future, the virtual and the real. The establishment of iQiyi Paradise in Yangzhou will bring new economy and new vitality to Yangzhou with its "integrated cultural, commercial, and tourism" ecosystem, reshape the city's brand with innovative experiences, and allow the millennial culture to be rejuvenated with the empowerment of technology.

In recent years, iQiyi has continued to exert efforts in the construction of film and television IPs and open ecosystems, especially making significant progress in content creation, industrial chain extension, technological empowerment, and internationalization. In 2025, iQiyi's "second curve" will continue to accelerate. In addition to the official start of the iQiyi Paradise project, more than 40 stores of iQiyi's self-developed "The Wind Rises in Luoyang," "Mysterious Stories of Tang Dynasty: Western Journey," and "Love Between Fairy and Devil" series of fully immersive theaters have been completed, covering more than 20 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Luoyang, Zhangjiagang, and Hefei. Among them, the "Mysterious Stories of Tang Dynasty: Western Journey" fully immersive theater project has received more than 100,000 visitors in one year of operation. Fully immersive theater projects on military and other diverse themes, such as "The Long March: Four Crossings of Chishui," will also be launched to users in 2025.

At the event, Jiao Qingbiao, Deputy Secretary and Secretary-General of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC; Tang Weihua, Deputy Mayor of Yangzhou; Wang Hao, Deputy Secretary-General, Director of the Office, and Director of the Research Office of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC; and Wu Huan, General Manager of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Urban Investment and Operation Co., Ltd., also visited the planned "Ten Miles of Canal" demonstration section project - iQiyi Paradise area.
