Ministry of Culture and Tourism Travel Tips for the Qingming Festival Holiday

The Qingming Festival holiday in 2025 is approaching. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism reminds all tourists:

I. Reasonably arrange your trip. The spring weather is changeable, with a large temperature difference between morning and evening. Before traveling, check the weather forecast for your route and destination in advance, choose a suitable mode of transportation, add or remove clothing as needed, and prepare necessary items and common medicines. Reasonably plan your travel route and time, choose travel agencies with business qualifications, and do not go to undeveloped, unsafe areas. Closely monitor the security situation and precautions for outbound travel destinations, and do not go to high-risk areas.

II. Prevent fire hazards. When visiting scenic spots, public cultural venues, and cultural relic protection units, strictly abide by the fire safety regulations, and follow the guidance and instructions of on-site staff in emergencies. When staying in a hotel, do not smoke while lying on the sofa or bed, actively understand the emergency evacuation routes, and master the necessary emergency avoidance knowledge. Pay attention to fire prevention and disaster prevention during outdoor activities, strictly abide by relevant regulations on fire safety and forest fire prevention.

III. Pay attention to travel safety. Before self-driving, check the vehicle condition, ensure safe and civilized driving, and avoid fatigue driving and drunk driving. When driving a motor vehicle or taking public transportation, fasten your seat belt throughout the journey. When taking sightseeing boats, wear life jackets as required, and do not take sightseeing boats that are not equipped with necessary life-saving equipment. When participating in high-risk activities such as high-altitude, high-speed, water, diving, and exploration, act according to your own condition, abide by safety operating standards, and participate under the guidance of professionals, and do not do anything that may endanger yourself or others.

IV. Civilized and rational travel. Abide by laws, regulations, and public order and good customs. Protect the ecological environment, protect cultural relics and historical sites, cherish public facilities, maintain public order, do not crowd, do not scramble, follow the instructions for visiting the venue, and listen to the guidance of on-site staff. Pay attention to service standards and quality, rationally choose tourism products, and be wary of "unreasonably low-priced tours." Maintain good hygiene habits, actively practice the "light plate action", advocate low-carbon saving, and green travel.
