During the Tomb-Sweeping Day holiday in 2025, various places carried out a variety of activities to commemorate heroes and martyrs, traditional cultural activities, and tourism activities. The national culture and tourism market was safe and orderly. According to the calculation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Data Center, during the three-day Tomb-Sweeping Day holiday, 126 million domestic trips were made nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%; total domestic tourism spending reached 57.549 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.7%.
Many red tourism scenic spots across the country carried out Tomb-Sweeping Day activities to commemorate revolutionary martyrs, and a large number of tourists commemorated revolutionary martyrs and carried on the red gene through various forms such as visits and participation in themed cultural activities. Students in Nanchang, Jiangxi, recited "Lovely China" in unison at the Fang Zhimin Martyrs' Memorial Park. Representatives from all walks of life in Dandong, Liaoning, jointly read letters from volunteer soldiers in front of the Korean War Memorial Tower. Shanghai held cultural experience activities such as making chrysanthemums to express condolences and painting kites to pray for peace in front of the Longhua Martyrs' Cemetery. Ningxia Guyuan No. 2 Middle School and Hongwen Middle School organized teachers and students to walk 108 miles to and from the Shanhe Martyrs' Cemetery for 30 consecutive years. 950,000 students in Gansu participated in the "Tomb-Sweeping Day to commemorate martyrs, retracing the Long March" activity.
Urban parks, forest parks, theme parks, historical and cultural blocks, and key tourist towns across the country ushered in a wave of tourism, with strong demand for flower viewing, spring outings, rural tourism, camping, and food-themed tours. The East Lake Cherry Garden in Wuhan, Hubei, the Luoyang Peony Fair in Henan, and the Yingzhu Sakura Valley in Wuxi, Jiangsu, led the popularity rankings of traditional flower-viewing spots. Tianjin, Yancheng, Jiangsu, Zhangjiajie, Hunan, Jinzhou, Hebei, Yili, Xinjiang, and Nyingchi, Tibet, entered their peak flower-viewing seasons, holding events such as flower parades, folk performances, and walking tours, attracting tourists from all over the country to visit and enjoy.
The supply of cultural and tourism products was abundant, and holiday consumption was full of vitality. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism released 32 rural tourism routes, and the popularity of searches for rural experiences such as "seasonal picking" and "digging wild vegetables" increased. Historical and cultural blocks and tourist attractions in Beijing, Zhejiang, Shandong, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Guizhou integrated traditional culture with trendy fashion, launched tea picking and tea frying projects integrating agriculture, culture, and tourism, launched new "park + hiking/cycling," digital collections, VR games, and other activities, and carried out themed activities such as "appreciating spring scenery, tasting spring flavors, and exploring folk customs," which were welcomed by tourists.
Museums across the country launched unique and entertaining cultural and tourism activities. The Palace Museum held the "Le Linquan - Exhibition of Chinese and Foreign Garden Culture," the National Museum of China held the "Nine Days to the Moon - 20 Years of China's Lunar Exploration Program" exhibition, the Henan Museum launched the online live broadcast activity "Crossing a Thousand Years to Talk about Tomb-Sweeping Day - The Code of the Solar Terms in Cultural Relics," and the Shanghai Museum's "Tomb-Sweeping Day Workshop" launched handmade experiences such as "Kites Flying High" and "Bamboo Weaving Cuju Balls." Many cultural and museum venues extended their opening hours to meet the public's needs during the holiday.
