Domestic Tourism Data for the First Quarter of 2025
Based on the results of the domestic tourism sample survey, In the first quarter of 2025, domestic tourism reached 1.794 billion person-times, an increase of 375 million person-times compared to the same period last year, representing a year-on-year growth of 26.4%. Among them, domestic tourism by urban residents reached 1.318 billion person-times, a year-on-year increase of 22.4%; domestic tourism by rural residents reached 476 million person-times, a year-on-year increase of 39.2%.
In the first quarter of 2025, total domestic tourism spending by residents reached 1.8 trillion yuan, an increase of 280 billion yuan compared to the same period last year, representing a year-on-year growth of 18.6%. Among them, tourism spending by urban residents reached 1.48 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%; tourism spending by rural residents reached 320 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 39.6%
