Overview of the Specialized Committee on Ice and Snow Entertainment of CAAPA Seventh Council
Amid the rapid development of China's culture and tourism sector and the thorough implementation of the national ice and snow development strategy, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics set the stage for a flourishing new chapter in China's ice and snow economy. According to statistics from the ice and snow industry, China had reached 770 ski resorts by the end of 2019, with approximately 20.9 million skiing participants. This included 31 indoor ski resorts, which represent nearly half of the world's total. With the support of the central government and various ministries and commissions, ice and snow sports are increasingly merging with theme entertainment, creating a strong synergy for the development of ice and snow tourism. To promote the high-quality development of China's ice and snow entertainment industry, the China Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (CAAPA) has established the Specialized Committee on Ice and Snow Entertainment of the Seventh Council. This committee will be an important component of CAAPA, aiming to regulate industry development and provide leadership and services for the ice and snow entertainment sector.

This group of members represents various stakeholders in the ice and snow industry, including park operators, investors, and equipment suppliers.
The members of the committee leverage industry characteristics to enhance cross-sector integration between the amusement and ice and snow industries. They stay focused on building a standardization system for the ice and snow entertainment sector, improving safety management levels, establishing a communication and learning platform for the industry, and strengthening the talent pipeline in the ice and snow field. Furthermore, the committee will support the year-round operation of ski resorts and facilities to elevate operational standards in the ice and snow entertainment industry. By collaborating with companies and experts in the ice and snow sector across the country, the committee aims to make significant contributions to the high-quality development of China's ice and snow entertainment industry.
