Overview of the Specialized Committee on Safety of CAAPA Seventh Council

Safety is the lifeline for the sound development of the amusement industry. To improve the level of operational safety management, consolidate the best resources in safety technology and management across the industry, and create a safety think tank for the amusement sector, China Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (CAAPA) has established the Specialized Committee on Safety of the Seventh Board. This step aims to better serve both the industry and government, ensuring amusement safety and fostering sound development within the sector. The committee is composed primarily of technical leaders from major amusement parks across China, distinguished experts from national inspection agencies, and professionals from large domestic insurance brokerage companies. Its members include: Sunac Culture & Tourism Group, Haichang Ocean Park Holdings Ltd., Fantawild Holdings Ltd., Suzhou New District Hi-tech Industrial Co., Ltd., Shanghai Disney Resort, Universal Beijing Resort, Evergrande Tourism Operation Management Group, Fosun Tourism Group, Shanghai Happy Valley, Changzhou Dinosaur Park Management Company, Special Equipment Safety Supervision and Inspection Institute of Jiangsu Province, Shandong Special Equipment Inspection Institute Group Co., Ltd., and Jiang Tai Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd. The members of the committee are devoted to improving the fundamental safety of amusement equipment and the overall safety management level in the industry. They aim to investigate various critical safety issues identified in the sector to address systemic risks. Their commitment also extends to advocating for safety technologies and management methods that contribute to the secure and healthy growth of the industry. Additionally, they seek to establish a safety culture in the industry and enhance public awareness of safe amusement practices.
