This year’s conference is themed… Under the theme “Stimulating Industrial Innovation Momentum and Empowering a Better Life for All,” more than ten specialized forums—covering areas such as artificial intelligence, scenario-based innovation, and operational optimization—will be held to explore the integrated innovation, digital transformation, and quality‑and‑efficiency enhancement of industries including culture, tourism, and leisure.

Luo Shugang, former Minister of Culture and Tourism, a member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress, and Chairman of the Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports Committee, attended the meeting. He led participants in systematically reviewing and studying General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of important expositions, key judgments, and the spirit of his instructions and directives on cultural and tourism work. Focusing on such directional issues as the distinctive characteristics of China’s tourism industry, the major principles that must be upheld, the missions and tasks it shoulders, and the critical relationships that require coordinated management, he shared a series of profound reflections, providing crucial guidance for further advancing the high-quality development of the tourism sector.

Zhang Jiayi, representing the joint research team of the China Tourism Academy and the China Amusement Park Association, released the “ “2026 First-Quarter Investment and Amusement‑Equipment Procurement Index Survey Report.” According to the specialized survey, macroeconomic conditions and the tourism economy are boosting industry investment; the comprehensive investment index for the tourism sector in the first quarter of 2026 rose 4.5% year over year compared with the first quarter of 2025. Expanding demand and upgraded experiences among both local residents and out-of-town visitors are driving continued growth in amusement‑equipment procurement, while domestic demand is being steadily met and overseas expansion is advancing steadily.
