June 13, The 7th Session of the 7th Council (Enlarged) Meeting of the China Amusement Machine and Amusement Park Association and the High-Quality Development Conference of Immersive Cultural Tourism were successfully held at "SAGA City of Light" in Shanghai Pude Fu.

Relevant responsible comrades from the Resource Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism attended the event and stated that they hope that member units of the association will implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on tourism work with practical actions, adhere to innovation while upholding the right principles, improve quality and efficiency, promote integrated development, and take the implementation of the "Action Plan for Innovative Development of Smart Tourism" as an opportunity to jointly promote the high-quality development of the tourism industry.

Yao Jun, President of the China Amusement Machine and Amusement Park Association, delivered a work report entitled "Cultivating New High-Quality Productivity in Cultural Tourism, Accelerating the Construction of a Modern Tourism System, and Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Cultural Tourism Industry." The report summarized the industry development and association work in 2023, and looked forward to the industry development prospects in 2024 and deployed relevant association work.

President Yao Jun stated that the China Amusement Machine and Amusement Park Association adheres to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as its guide, deeply studies and implements the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and its subsequent plenary sessions, actively implements the requirements of documents such as the State Council's "Several Measures on Unleashing the Potential of Tourism Consumption and Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Tourism Industry" and the various work deployments of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, focuses on its main responsibilities and businesses in various work items in 2023, gives full play to the main role of industry self-governance and self-discipline development, adheres to the guiding principle of "using culture to shape tourism, and using tourism to highlight culture," actively promotes the integration of culture and tourism, promotes the upgrading of the industry, and achieves high-quality development.

At the meeting, Tang Xiaoyun, Vice President of the China Tourism Academy, Zhang Xiaohua, Director of the Scientific Research Planning Office of the China Institute of Art and Science and Technology, and Joseph Corbo, Chief Operating Officer & Executive Producer of Pude Fu Asia, respectively gave keynote speeches on the themes of "Technology Creates New Space for Tourism Development," "The Integration of Art and Technology in Immersive Cultural Tourism Scenarios," and "Looking at the Development of Immersive Performance Venues from SAGA City of Light."

At the meeting, the Social Public Welfare Professional Committee, Rural Revitalization Professional Committee, and Culture, Commerce and Tourism Professional Committee of the China Amusement Machine and Amusement Park Association were established, and representatives of the three professional committees respectively made work reports to the council.

The meeting also deliberated and passed other work items. More than 400 representatives from council units, member units, and cultural tourism enterprises from across the country participated in the meeting and inspected Shanghai Pude Fu's "SAGA City of Light."
