To gain a deeper understanding of the investment and development of the tourism industry, the China Tourism Academy, in collaboration with the China Amusement Machine and Amusement Park Association and other organizations, is conducting a special research project on investment in the tourism industry. Recently, the Hengqin Cooperation Zone Urban Planning and Construction Bureau released a post-approval announcement for the construction land planning permit of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone—the Zhuhai Chimelong Dadongwan Project.
The announcement shows that the Zhuhai Chimelong Dadongwan project is located in Dadongwan, Hengqin Cooperation Zone, southeast of Chimelong Ocean Kingdom.
The planned land area of the project is 337,600 ㎡, consisting of three plots. Plot one covers approximately 237,900 ㎡; plot two covers approximately 99,000 ㎡; and plot three covers 713.73 ㎡.
The land use is designated for tourism, with a plot ratio ≤0.8, and the land unit is Zhuhai Chimelong Investment Development Co., Ltd.
According to the draft of the "Overall Plan for National Spatial Development of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone (2021-2035)", the cooperation zone plans to develop the Dahanghengshan themed tourism industry unit and moderately increase the supply of entertainment and health land in the southern part of Dahanghengshan.
In addition, according to the post-approval announcement of the "Implementation Plan for the Reserved Scale of the Zhuhai Xiangzhou District Land Use Overall Plan (2010-2020) (Chimelong Dadongwan Project)", the construction of the Dadongwan project aims to improve the tourism supporting facilities of the Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong International Ocean Resort, further develop the coastal tourism industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and create leisure and entertainment spaces for local residents and tourists.
According to the "Guangdong Province 2024 Key Construction Project Plan", the Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong International Ocean Resort Phase II project plans to construct an ocean adventure park, spaceship park, spaceship hotel, mountaintop park, aerial cable car, animal kingdom, deep well base, and Chimelong Tourism College, etc.

As one of the Zhuhai Chimelong Phase II projects, The sightseeing cable car project is in the unloaded test phase ，按照原定项目推进情况，长隆缆车将于 this year for tourist use. The Zhuhai Chimelong cable car project is located north of Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom with a total of three station houses.
The "cable car main station" mark has also been added to the official Zhuhai Chimelong park map.
