Recently, the world's first new area themed around the popular game character "Donkey Kong," "Donkey Kong Country," officially opened at Universal Studios Japan.
The scene design of Donkey Kong Country recreates the lush jungle and mysterious caves from the game, making visitors feel as if they are in this mysterious and exciting world. The new area not only expands the area of Super Nintendo World but also, with the theme of "Play Wild!," allows visitors to fully enjoy the fun of exploration and adventure. The brand-new crazy mine cart roller coaster (Donkey Kong's Crazy Minecart) is set against the backdrop of a golden temple, where riders will take on the mission of protecting the golden bananas from the Tiki Tong and Tiki Tak tribes. Inspired by the mine cart track in "Donkey Kong Country Returns," this amusement facility uses Universal Studios' patented bouncing roller coaster design to create the illusion of the mine cart jumping off the track, giving visitors an unpredictable adventure. Each mine cart can accommodate 4 people, and each round of play takes about 2 minutes. Visitors race along the jungle track, avoiding obstacles ahead.
