As 2025 and the Year of the Snake approach, construction of Shanghai Disney Resort's third themed hotel has made significant progress: the final main steel beam has been installed, marking the completion of the main structure of this new hotel. The successful completion of the main structure construction phase will lay a solid foundation for subsequent internal construction.

As one of the main expansion projects of Shanghai Disney Resort currently, Shanghai Disneyland The hotel, located a short distance from the park, is 9 stories high, with 400 guest rooms and suites, and is positioned as high-end and elegant. The hotel's design and decoration adopt the Art Nouveau style, reflecting the unique architectural style of early Shanghai while fully integrating the resort's design concept of "authentic Disney, unique Chinese style," providing guests with an immersive themed accommodation experience.

Located on the shores of Wishing Star Lake, the hotel offers a broad view of Shanghai Disneyland. Upon completion, it will complement the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, providing a wider range of accommodation choices for visitors to the resort. The hotel will also offer guests a new immersive experience, including indoor and outdoor recreational facilities and projects incorporating Disney storytelling.

Since its opening in 2016, Shanghai Disney Resort has continued to develop, with major expansion projects including two new themed areas at Shanghai Disneyland: the Disney Pixar Toy Story Land and the Zootopia themed area.

In addition to the third themed hotel, the resort's current expansion projects also include a Spider-Man themed roller coaster which will be the first large-scale attraction in Shanghai Disneyland to tell a Marvel story. Preliminary construction preparations began in early 2024.
