In today's rapidly developing technological era, immersive digital art exhibitions that integrate artificial intelligence and art are reshaping our understanding of art and technology in unprecedented ways. Some recent immersive digital art exhibitions use digital technologies such as artificial intelligence to allow audiences to "return" to Yongle Palace to see the exquisite murals, and also allow us to be in nature to contemplate the relationship between life and self. Let's learn more about them!

As the sixth stop of the "Yongle Palace Exhibition" national tour, the exhibition carefully selects precious items, with 13 sets of first-class cultural relics alone. The exhibition brings together more than 150 precious cultural relics from Yongle Palace, and for the first time integrates cutting-edge digital technologies and methods, using AI to restore and revitalize the original appearance of Yongle Palace murals, sculptures, and architecture, allowing audiences to experience the beauty of art in China's excellent traditional culture up close; innovatively introducing a large-scale VR space with a mural art theme, bringing audiences a comprehensive immersive exploration experience.

1. AI Restoration, Re-presenting the "True Appearance" of Yongle Palace Seven Hundred Years Ago
Yongle Palace, as the only existing Yuan Dynasty official-style architectural complex in China, is famous for its magnificent Yuan Dynasty ancient buildings and murals that seem to move in the wind. Unfortunately, many historical details have gradually become blurred over time. Through the in-depth application of AI technology, this exhibition completely restores the architectural layout and mural style of Yongle Palace, allowing visitors to enter the digitally restored Yongle Palace, placing themselves seven hundred years ago, and personally experiencing the architectural wonders and artistic charm of the historical treasures of Yongle Palace.

2. Digital Revitalization, Immersive Journey Through the Oriental "Immortal" World
The exhibition specially created multiple immersive interactive experience spaces, such as: a moving arc-shaped screen theater vividly recreates the magnificent scene of the "Chao Yuan Tu" mural in the Sanqing Hall, and the AI-animated deities of the Sanqing Hall "fly" towards the audience, allowing the audience to feel the shock brought by "the gathering of gods, the wind moving across the walls"; the digitally revitalized "Pure Yang Emperor's Divine Journey and Manifestation" allows the audience to step into the landscape painting scroll, "playing in the world" with Lü Dongbin, and wandering in the immersive atmosphere where technology and art blend.

3. VR Large Space, A Fantastic Art Journey Where You Can See, Hear, and "Paint"
The exhibition introduces VR large-space technology. After wearing VR equipment, the audience can step into the "painting," break through the "walls" and shuttle through time, starting an adventure in Yongle Palace through the story of the "Meeting Immortals on the Bridge, Releasing Life in Mount Lu" mural in the Pure Yang Hall; during the exploration, the audience can fly over Yongle Palace, interact with the five ridges and six beasts, and freely explore the exquisitely beautiful interior space of the Sanqing Hall up close, appreciating the beauty of the architecture; it is worth mentioning that the audience can also transform into a digital painter to assist Zhu Haogu, the legendary leader of the Jin-Nan school of painting, in creating Yongle Palace murals, traveling together in the grand event, and gaining a truly tangible artistic fantasy journey.

2. "Blossom and Transformation"
This series of works takes "transparent insects" as its core theme, presenting the combination of microscopic natural life and art through AIGC (AI-generated content) technology. Each insect is given a crystal-clear texture, while adorned with colorful flowers, corals, and other natural elements, symbolizing the prosperity and transformation of life.

"Blossom" represents the diversity and color of life, while "Transformation" symbolizes the power of growth and evolution. With the help of AI technology, the design of these insect forms has achieved ultimate delicacy and complexity in the digital space, completing these surreal transparent insect artworks with extraordinary speed and precision, bringing audiences a visual experience that transcends reality.

3. "Sea of Poetry: Gitanjali"

"Sea of Poetry" is a new media art work that combines classic poetry with generative art. Through algorithms and AI technology, it transforms poems from ancient and modern times into text prompts, and generates dynamic visual images with a particle texture. The image is presented in the form of Impressionist dynamic pointillism, exploring the interweaving of language and vision in generative aesthetics, constructing a multi-dimensional perceptual experience full of contingency and poetic tension, and reactivating the cultural memory of the text.

This special version, "Sea of Poetry: Gitanjali," is inspired by Rabindranath Tagore's "Gitanjali." It translates classic poems such as "Life is as splendid as summer flowers" into highly dynamic visual language. Through particle simulation and non-linear generation strategies, it recreates literary classics in the context of contemporary art. The work responds to the artistic issues of machine collaboration and the subjectivity of creation at the boundary between the virtual and the real, bringing the audience an immersive experience that transcends time and media.

Life's Origin is an immersive digital art piece combining AIGC and body-sensing interaction. Through delicate and refined visual language, it explores the profound questions of life's origin and evolution. Starting from a broad ocean perspective, the work begins with microscopic single-celled plankton, showcasing their slow movements and subtle changes in the ocean depths. As time flows, life forms continuously evolve, from microorganisms to humans, and from humans to the vast universe, depicting a magnificent chapter of life originating from the ocean and gradually moving towards infinity.

The work uses AIGC technology to generate every cell and microorganism form, delicate and dynamic, presenting an ethereal and dreamlike quality. Through the design of an interactive space, viewers can immerse themselves in this virtual ocean, resonating with every stage of life, as if experiencing every moment of life's origin firsthand, feeling the shocking evolutionary process from micro to macro. This work aims to explore the philosophical contemplation of where life comes from and where it will go.

Each participant's appearance before the artwork is recorded, and the outline and lines of this moment leave an eternal shadow in the continuous redrawing. This form allows viewers to experience the connection between past and present, guiding people to reflect on the passage of time and the essence of existence. The backward movement of the lines symbolizes the passage of time, while the shadows on the lines are projections of the past, thus prompting people's understanding of time and existence.
