The national "14th Five-Year Plan" outline proposes to comprehensively carry out child-friendly community renovations and build 100 child-friendly cities nationwide. Subsequently, documents such as the State Council's "China Children's Development Program (2021-2030)" and the NDRC's "Construction Guide for Child-Friendly Urban Spaces (Trial)" have been successively issued, making the comprehensive development of child-friendly infrastructure construction and the upgrading of child-friendly industries a new direction. An excellent playground section in a municipal park should not only meet the recreational needs of children but also take family happiness and joy as the core of its service. Here, parents can deeply participate in their children's companionship and interaction, sharing happy times. At the same time, the playground should also carefully consider the needs of parents, making caregiving easier. From comfortable seating to convenient luggage storage; from interesting photo opportunities to delicious food; from clean and convenient restrooms to complete changing facilities, these are all key details that enhance parental happiness. Future playground designs should also pay more attention to the experience of the elderly in playgrounds, ensuring that grandparents can also enjoy comfort and fun here, together building a harmonious and beautiful family playground.

Refined Operation Thinking

International experience tells us that truly vibrant parks are closely integrated with urban residents. These parks, with the support of the government and social forces, provide thoughtful services through investment, planning, construction, and management and operation, introduce more professional maintenance teams, develop more comprehensive monitoring systems, and plan more diverse and interesting park activities to attract more people to participate in the entire life cycle of the park, jointly creating a vibrant and charming urban green space.

Chengdu, Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen have also made successful attempts in the refined operation of parks. Among them, Chengdu, with its unique concept of scene-based urban development, has provided a new direction for the practice of park cities. When designing parks, we should not only focus on the planning and design of the park itself but also focus on building a community that can regulate and lead the operation of the park. This community will play a key role in improving and optimizing traditional park maintenance and operation methods, creating a park that can bring sustainable vitality to the city. Therefore, to achieve the sustainable and refined operation of playground sections in municipal parks, the following points should be considered during design:

1. Establishing an Operation Model Based on Local Conditions

In the operation of playground sections in municipal parks, we should deeply understand the surrounding conditions of the park and formulate operation strategies based on local conditions to build a distinctive and sustainable operation model. For example, combining the park's theme characteristics, creating a themed and science-popular children's playground that integrates fun and education, providing children with a variety of recreational experiences. This initiative aims to better meet the public's yearning for outdoor activities, allowing citizens to enjoy the beauty of nature while also experiencing the convenience and comfort of city life. Therefore, the introduction of professional and diverse commercial formats will become an indispensable part of the renewal process of the amusement park section in municipal parks. This will not only help improve the park's supporting service facilities and overall operational level but also bring citizens a rich and diverse leisure experience. At the same time, adding interactive cultural and entertainment projects, such as outdoor concerts and performing arts, can enhance citizens' cultural and entertainment experiences, making the park a new cultural center of the city.
