Recently, the Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued a list of key construction projects in Henan Province in 2025. Among them, there are six cultural and tourism projects in Zhengzhou, located in Xinzheng, Zhongmu, Guancheng, Huiji, and Aviation Port. These six key projects mainly focus on important cultural and tourism fields such as Yellow Emperor culture, theme park culture, Shang Dynasty culture, Grand Canal culture, and digital cultural relics.

Yellow Emperor's Hometown in Xinzheng Core Scenic Area Renovation and Expansion Project

Nature: Completed Project

Update Goal: Through the renovation and expansion of the core scenic area, improve infrastructure, enhance the overall image of Xinzheng City, provide a high-standard hard environment for the construction of a 5A-level tourist area, and further enhance the reputation of Xinzheng City and Zhengzhou City.

Update Content: The project is divided into six main sections.

Homecoming Square Area: Create a landmark area for tourists entering the scenic area. Tongxin Square Area: Serves as an important venue for cultural exchange and activities. Guli Temple Area: Renovation and upgrading of the existing Guli Temple.

Ancestor Worship Square Area: Expand the Ancestor Worship Square to increase capacity. Zheng Han Museum Area: Construct a new museum to showcase the history and culture of Xinzheng. Other Cultural Areas: Including the Surname Culture Museum, Xuanyuan Memorial Hall, etc., enriching the cultural connotation.

Zhengzhou Haichang Ocean Park (Phase II) Project

Nature: Completed Project

The project has a total construction area of 31,800 square meters, mainly constructing a killer whale performance venue, supporting commercial and service buildings, large and medium-sized amusement equipment, and a water park (including wave pools, parent-child slides, children's wading pools, etc.).

It is worth mentioning that since the official opening of the Zhengzhou Haichang Ocean Park Phase I project on September 28, 2023, it has achieved remarkable results and has become a benchmark project for ocean-themed cultural tourism in the Central Plains region.

Zhengzhou Haichang Ocean Park uses an innovative "cultural tourism +" operation model, combining ocean themes with Central Plains culture, folk traditions, and intangible cultural heritage performances.

Zhengzhou Shang Dynasty Royal City Ruins Project

Nature: Ongoing Project

The project has a total construction area of 500,000 square meters, mainly constructing a historical and cultural street, protection of the city walls, improvement of the surrounding environment of the city walls, a cultural theme commercial street, a high-end shopping center, and the expansion of cultural tourism facilities such as the Wenmiao and Chenghuangmiao Temples.

The project aims to create an "Shang Dynasty Culture IP" with international influence through site protection, cultural inheritance, and tourism development.

Grand Canal Digital Cultural and Creative Industrial Park Project

Nature: Ongoing Project

The project has a total construction area of 250,000 square meters, mainly constructing a digital economy big data research and development center, a digital cultural and creative industry incubator, and a virtual reality technology research and development center.

By combining digital technology with cultural creativity, it creates a demonstration industrial park of "sports + cultural and creative integration," promoting the inheritance and innovation of Grand Canal culture.

Zhengzhou Aviation Port "Central Plains Culture" Digital Cultural Relics Comprehensive Project

Nature: Start-up Project

The project has a total construction area of approximately 350,000 square meters, mainly constructing a Central Plains Culture Museum Park integrating production and education, the renovation and expansion of the Yingdi School, and other supporting facilities.

Zhengzhou Shangdu Tawwan Old Street Project

Nature: Start-up Project

The Zhengzhou Shangdu Tawwan Old Street Project is an important part of the core area of the Zhengzhou Shang Dynasty Royal City Ruins, aiming to create a folk cultural tourism street with the characteristics of the Central Plains through the integration of culture, tourism, and commerce.

With a total construction area of 48,000 square meters, it mainly constructs a Central Plains-style folk commercial street composed of characteristic cuisines, intangible cultural heritage crafts, and folk activities from 18 cities in Henan Province.
