On May 20, the second China Theme Park Strategic Marketing Summit, hosted by the China Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (CAAPA), co-organized by the Theme Park Marketing Professional Committee of the China Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, Times Culture and Tourism, and Haihe An Culture and Tourism, was successfully held in Qingdao.

Yao Jun, President of the China Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions

Yao Jun, President of the China Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, stated in his address that theme parks have been an important part of and the most innovative element driving the booming development of China's tourism industry. In recent years, under the guidance of a series of important documents such as the "Guiding Opinions on Standardizing the Development of Theme Parks" issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the theme park industry has adhered to healthy and orderly development as its guiding principle, actively integrating elements of traditional culture, rural areas, industry, education, and sports. Investment, construction, and operation levels have continuously improved, and through diversified innovative practices, theme parks have become a benchmark for the integration of culture and tourism in the new era, an engine for urban vitality, and an important vehicle for the people's pursuit of modernization and a better life.

President Yao Jun pointed out that the current pattern of the cultural and tourism industry is accelerating its restructuring, and the tourism consumer market is undergoing profound changes. Tourist demand is shifting from "sightseeing and checking in" to a deeper experience that is "diversified, personalized, and technological." Under the new circumstances, the overall tourism industry will gradually enter a new stage of development focused on "optimizing existing resources, meticulous cultivation, and improving quality and efficiency," and theme parks need to properly coordinate investment and returns, products and markets, and a series of other issues.

President Yao Jun suggested that, looking to the future, the development of Chinese theme parks should implement the important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on tourism work, and actively play a leading and exemplary role in the development of the tourism industry as a "people's livelihood industry" and a "happiness industry." We must adhere to cultural empowerment and tell Chinese stories; adhere to innovation-driven development and embrace the technological wave; adhere to improving quality and efficiency and optimizing operational management; and adhere to the safety bottom line and improve safety levels. Let theme parks not only be creators of happiness, but also inheritors of culture, leaders in technology, and cultivators of new industries!
