In the field of cultural and tourism development, the government of Jiyukou Town, Qianjiang City, signed a contract with Hubei Dafengche Education Development Co., Ltd. for the "Jieliao Lake Parent-Child Research and Study Camp and Jieliao Lake Cultural Tourism Project," building an immersive lobster-themed research and study village.

In the film and television industry, Hubei Changjiang Film Group cooperated with Wuhan Ershi Sanlou Film and Television Co., Ltd. to build the Changjiang Micro-short Drama Base in Ezhou Honglian Lake;

On May 24, the Jiangsu Jiangyan Zhenhu InterContinental Hotel project officially started construction.

The project has a total investment of 1 billion yuan and a total construction area of over 70,000 square meters. Its functions include a banquet hall, an all-day dining restaurant, a swimming pool bar, six guest rooms with 158 rooms, four spa tea rooms, and a connecting lobby. The hotel design scheme is based on the geographical features of the water town, integrating the essence of classical gardens to create a garden-style vacation and travel living space experience. May 29, The Taizhou China Dinosaur Park Youth Science Popularization Research Base Baobao Manor has achieved a major construction milestone with the successful topping out of its main structure. After recent rigorous inspections, 13 individual buildings successfully passed the main structure acceptance. According to the project manager, Baobao Manor is expected to officially open to the public in February 2026. The park will create a new scene of high-quality parent-child, research, and science popularization consumption experiences for tourists.

It is understood that this project is invested, constructed, and operated by China Communications Second Harbor Bureau. It covers an area of approximately 150 mu and is positioned as a dinosaur-themed parent-child exploration park. The original dinosaur image "Baobao" is a feature of Baobao Manor. The park includes three themed areas: Dream Village, Wonderful Garden, and Miracle Forest, aiming to create a comprehensive park integrating science popularization, research, and entertainment.

Wuhan Hengda Happy World to open on June 1

On May 24, a stress test was conducted at Wuhan Hengda Happy World, located on the banks of Longyang Lake in Hanyang and home to Wuhan's tallest Ferris wheel, to comprehensively test the load capacity and operational efficiency of its facilities, equipment, operational service support, and security and transportation systems. Final optimizations are being made before the official opening. It is understood that this newest amusement park in Wuhan will officially open to visitors on June 1, Children's Day.

Wuhan Hengda Happy World Phase I features 23 themed amusement projects, including three "Wuhan's best" amusement projects—the 89-meter-tall Ferris wheel "City Eye," the largest 70-seat pirate ship "Sea Wave Rhapsody," and the tallest small waist drift tower "Sky Mirror." In addition to the three core amusement facilities, the park also has roller coasters, carousels, bumper cars, and 11 other sets of classic large-scale projects suitable for visitors of different ages. On May 27, Suizhou released a WeChat public account message. The Baiyun Lake Night Tour Cultural Tourism Project began debugging its lighting and water features. The project is currently in the debugging phase. To balance debugging and viewing needs, basic lighting will be on from 8 pm to 9:30 pm every night, with light shows starting at 8 pm and 9 pm, lasting about 10 minutes each. It is expected to be put into operation in mid-to-late July.

It is understood that the project includes lighting upgrades for seven bridges and 106 buildings on both banks, as well as the construction of Baiyun Lake night tour performance facilities. Currently, Phase I, including the lighting upgrade project in the core area from Shunjing Bridge to Bianzhong Bridge, the tourist wharf, performance installations, and water features, has been largely completed and is undergoing debugging; Phase II, including lighting upgrades for Miaoshuier Bridge and Qingnian Road Bridge, is underway. On the morning of May 27, the Zhongshan Panda Li Commercial Sports and Leisure Center project officially broke ground.

It is understood that the project, centered on a "sports industry +" diversified ecosystem, has a total investment of 150 million yuan and covers an area of approximately 22.73 mu. It will create a new type of comprehensive sports and tourism and leisure complex integrating hotels, a sports center, specialty restaurants, and leisure shopping, and will provide important supporting facilities for the 2025 National Games and international baseball and softball events.

Guangxi Jinxiu Yaohuang Valley Project Commences

On May 27, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Jinxiu Yaohuang Valley project was held in Wangqian Village, Liu Xiang Township, Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi.

It is understood that the project has a planned total investment of 120 million yuan. Leveraging the more than 80% forest coverage rate of Dayaoshan Mountain and over 2,000 types of medicinal plants, it focuses on the theme of "integrating medicine and tourism." It will focus on building a "medicine and tourism integration" experience area, developing characteristic industries such as medicinal diet workshops and health care therapy, and deeply integrating Yao medicine culture into the tourism experience.

The project plans to build an ecological campsite, a cliffside cluster of guesthouses, and Yao-style themed guesthouses. It is understood that K11 ELYSEA, located on Huaihai Middle Road, has injected new vitality into the Shanghai Modernist exemplar, "Luo Village," a historical building from the 1940s, by relocating and reconstructing it. This building, which blends Bauhaus and Western classical styles, is being transformed into a new space for arts and cultural activities. Simultaneously, K11 ELYSEA will also renovate Huaihai Park, turning it into a new urban cultural living room. This 25,000-square-meter urban oasis, with its open public nature and natural urban oxygen bar, will become a flexible "cultural center" space. Combining the century-old cultural and historical elements of Huaihai Road with contemporary art installations, it will host large-scale events such as international art exhibitions, independent designer fashion weeks, and environmental forums, extending the K11 cultural and artistic genes.

Chongqing Yongchuan Senlin New Paradise Phase 1

Opening on May 31

On May 24, Yongchuan Rongmei released news that the first phase of Chongqing Yongchuan District's Senlin New Paradise is officially completed and will open on May 31.

It is understood that Senlin New Paradise covers a total area of 230 mu and is divided into four sections: water world, dream grassland, power area, and non-power area. After opening, it can accommodate 6,500 people simultaneously for amusement and entertainment experiences. The second phase of the project will start construction next year, mainly focusing on homestays and forest economy.

Lanzhou Wanda Plaza "City Eye" Ferris Wheel Project

Project progress is now over half

On May 28, an on-site understanding of the Lanzhou Wanda Plaza "City Eye" Ferris Wheel Project was conducted. Currently, the project's progress has exceeded half, and it will meet the public in mid-July.

Currently, the construction focus has shifted to the overall assembly of the Ferris wheel's outer ring and the installation of 36 panoramic transparent gondolas. Simultaneously, the supporting "Sky Garden" facilities are being developed, including an air market, a starry sky camp, a themed bar, restaurants, and trendy swings, aiming to create an air-themed amusement park centered around the Ferris wheel.

The "Selling Moon Dongting" Nanhu Night Tour Project Officially Launches

On the evening of May 25, the "Selling Moon Dongting" Nanhu Night Tour officially launched at the 4th Hunan Tourism Development Conference.

According to the introduction, the "Selling Moon Dongting" Nanhu Night Tour uses "Poetic Realm, Fairy Realm, Secret Realm" as its narrative axis, taking the natural scenery of Yueyang Nanhu as its natural stage. Using cutting-edge technologies such as holographic projection and digital light and shadow, it tells the story of Dongting's millennium of culture in the beautiful rivers and lakes. Under the guidance of the Nanhu boatmen, tourists take a boat to travel through three realms: the poetic realm of rivers and lakes where mountains are scrolls and water is ink; the fairy realm where the Eight Immortals descend and bestow blessings; and the secret realm where Fan Li retreats and expresses his feelings for the mountains and waters. The three realms form an immersive scroll of "people in the painting," breaking through the boundaries of time and space and showcasing the harmonious dance of culture and reality.

The project innovatively integrates digital media art and drone performance technology, relying on fog systems, fragrance systems, and wire effects to build a mobile cultural experience space, creating an immersive scene of water and shore interaction with "flying dragons soaring to the sky and the bright moon rising from the lake." Under the combined effect of sound, light, and electricity, 360° surround-screen light and shadow interact with the real scene, and ten performance scenes such as Taibai Selling Moon, Drunken Immortal Dongting, Dragon King Accompanying the Boat, and Lakeside Fishing Fires appear before the eyes, allowing tourists to experience the grandeur and romance of Yueyang's river and lake culture firsthand.

Art Sea Art World, Qingdao, Shandong

Starts Trial Operation

On May 28, Art Sea Art World, the first domestic immersive ocean science education base centered on the "Ocean Metaverse," began its trial operation.

It is understood that Art Sea Art World covers an area of 2,600 square meters and is an integrated ocean culture and entertainment complex that combines an indoor theme park, an art experience space, an AI creation space, a sports and trendy play space, and a multi-dimensional dynamic cinema. It customizes a fantastic journey from the origin of the ocean to future civilization for visitors of all ages. The project focuses on two dimensions: "immersive experience" and "interactive co-creation."
