To all member units and tourism enterprises:

In his congratulatory letter to the Ninth National Congress of Young Pioneers of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that children and adolescents are the future driving force for building a strong country and achieving national rejuvenation. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has attached great importance to the work concerning children and adolescents and cares about their growth. In recent years, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and other departments have issued a series of important documents promoting child-friendliness, such as "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Construction of Child-Friendly Cities" and "Guiding Opinions on Promoting High-Quality Development of Tourism Public Services," laying a solid foundation for comprehensively protecting children's rights and interests and promoting their all-round development. The concept of child-friendliness is increasingly gaining popularity. As an important field in meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of the people, the tourism industry's promotion of child-friendly construction is not only related to the healthy growth of children but also to the long-term development of the industry and social progress. On the occasion of the "June 1st" International Children's Day, the China Amusement Machine and Amusement Park Association hereby issues the following appeal to all member units and the tourism industry:

I. Establish a child-friendly concept and enhance the safety and child-friendliness of children's facilities. Children's amusement equipment manufacturing enterprises and operating units must strictly abide by relevant national safety standards. From design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance to operation, safety and child-friendliness must always be the core elements. Regular comprehensive inspections and maintenance of children's facilities must be carried out to ensure safe and reliable operation, using safety and child-friendliness to build the first line of defense for child-friendliness.

II. Adhere to the principle of prioritizing children and optimize tourism public facilities and services. With children's needs as the core, comprehensively and systematically optimize the layout and service provision of tourism public facilities. From the planning and construction of facilities to daily management and maintenance, from service process design and content innovation to quality supervision and evaluation, all should be guided by the characteristics and actual needs of children's physical and mental development to create a safe, convenient, and comfortable tourism environment for children, effectively enhancing children's sense of gain, happiness, and security in tourism activities.

III. Explore methods of integrating education and entertainment and enrich the supply of child-friendly tourism products. Guided by education and interest, develop characteristic products that fit children's cognitive laws, allowing children to increase their knowledge and improve their abilities while playing. At the same time, it is advocated to strengthen cross-border collaboration, jointly develop high-quality content with educational institutions, research institutes, and cultural and creative enterprises, forming a child-friendly tourism product matrix covering all age groups and multiple themes, making tourism scenes a "vivid classroom" for children's growth and learning.

IV. Strengthen the protection of children's rights and interests and create a good social atmosphere of caring for children. The protection of children's rights and interests is the bottom line requirement for the child-friendly construction of the tourism industry. Tourism enterprises need to strictly implement the "Law on the Protection of Minors," establishing a "protective network" for children's rights and interests in aspects such as content review, facility safety, and staff training, eliminating potential harm to children from vulgar and dangerous elements; all sectors of society need to attach great importance to the protection of children's rights and interests, forming a joint force to create a good atmosphere of caring for children.

Guarding the healthy growth of children is the mission of the tourism industry and the common responsibility of the whole society. Let us build consensus, work together, reshape tourism space from a child's perspective, nurture childhood dreams with humanistic care, and jointly build a safe, inclusive, and vibrant child-friendly society.
