On February 5th, the Central Committee of Social Work held the second summary meeting on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era for national industry associations and chambers of commerce. The meeting focused on in-depth study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches, earnestly implementing the spirit of the summary meeting on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, summarizing the implementation of the second phase of the thematic education for national industry associations and chambers of commerce, consolidating and expanding the achievements of the thematic education, and striving to promote high-quality development in all aspects of the work of national industry associations and chambers of commerce. Xu Yousheng, head of the 16th Central Guiding Group, attended the meeting and delivered a speech; Jia Yulin, deputy head of the group, provided guidance. Wu Hansheng, Minister of the Central Committee of Social Work, delivered a summary speech. Liu Zhao, head of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission stationed in the Central Committee of Social Work, and Zhao Shitang, Vice Minister of the Central Committee of Social Work, attended the meeting. Liu Zheng, Vice Minister of the Central Committee of Social Work, presided over the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that since the launch of the second phase of thematic education, the Central Committee of Social Work has earnestly studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches and instructions on thematic education, benchmarking against the Party Central Committee's deployment and requirements, and fully drawing on the successful experience of the first phase of thematic education. This has driven the steady progress of thematic education for national industry associations and chambers of commerce, achieving positive results in strengthening the soul through study, increasing wisdom through study, rectifying conduct through study, and promoting work through study. This has provided strong impetus for strengthening Party building in national industry associations and chambers of commerce and promoting in-depth reform and transformation and development. National industry associations and chambers of commerce should further consolidate and expand the achievements of thematic education, establish and improve long-term mechanisms, continuously promote the normalization and institutionalization of the study of the Party's innovative theories, ensure the implementation of rectification and improvement tasks, strengthen the role of Party organizations and Party members, improve the establishment of systems and regulations, and effectively extend the strict governance of the Party to industry associations and chambers of commerce.
Comrade Xu Yousheng, in his speech, fully affirmed the achievements of the second phase of thematic education for national industry associations and chambers of commerce. He put forward clear requirements for in-depth study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the implementation of the Party Central Committee's decisions and deployments, and for further consolidating and expanding the achievements of thematic education.
More than 500 people attended the meeting, including all members of the leading group and office of the thematic education for national industry associations and chambers of commerce, and 15 roving supervision groups; and heads of Party organizations of national industry associations and chambers of commerce.
